Weight and Balance
Even though you’re downloading the POH/AFM, the digital version will not have your aircraft’s specific weight and balance. Ask your Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot for a copy of the weight and balance page which you can use to set up your electronic flight bag aircraft profile, and to keep for your records.
CirrusProFlight App
CirrusProFlight, developed by a COPA member, is a free universal weight & balance and performance app for Cirrus SR model aircraft. Available for iPad and iPhone, this app offers:
- Weight and balance calculations for all Cirrus SR models
- Performance section providing takeoff and landing distances
- Current or manually entered weather conditions support
- Fuel planning tools
- Metric unit options
The app requires iOS/iPadOS 16.0 or later and is also compatible with Mac (M1 chip or later) and Apple Vision devices.
ForeFlight
If you use ForeFlight for your flight planning, you can also calculate weight and balance directly within the app. ForeFlight provides detailed aircraft profiles for Cirrus aircraft models that can be customized with your specific aircraft’s empty weight and arm values from your POH. This integration allows you to seamlessly include weight and balance calculations as part of your preflight planning workflow.
